Connect
Connect is how the tools your law firm already runs work with Tulip. WhatsApp, Tally, Zoho, and Google each see only the part of the record you have allowed. The case stays the source of truth and the tools borrow from it rather than holding their own version.
What it is
A narrow, allowed link between Tulip and the tools your firm already uses.
What it is not
It is not an open door to your record, and it is not a directory of a thousand apps nobody asked for.
Closed until you open it
A new connection sees nothing at all. You choose what it may read, and you can withdraw that. Nothing is switched on because it happened to be available.
What connects today
- WhatsApp, so client messages stay on the case.
- Tally and Zoho, to receive a finished fee memo.
- Google mail, Drive, and calendar.
- An assistant your firm has approved, which can ask about a case and read only what you permitted.
Approved assistants
If your law firm has approved an assistant, it can be given a narrow set of things it may ask about a case. It reads what you permitted and it cannot take the record. The permission is yours and you can withdraw it.
Questions
- Can a connected tool change our record?
- No. The record stays in your database. Connections read what you permitted, and outbound entries such as a fee memo are ones your firm sent on purpose.
- Will Gmail be able to see a case file?
- Only if your firm switches that on. It is off unless you turn it on.
- Can we revoke access later?
- Yes, at any time. The read stops.
