Security

Security in Tulip comes down to three things: your firm has its own database, each person gets the access their work needs, and what happened is recorded. There is no pooled store, no cross-firm index, and nothing about your record leaves your firm without your firm sending it.

Per person, not per firm

Partners, associates, and clerks do different work and need different access. Permissions are set per person and per case, so a person sees the cases they work on rather than everything the law firm has ever done.

One firm, one database

There is no shared table where several firms' cases sit together. A cross-firm query is not restricted; it is not possible, because there is nothing to query across.

A recorded trail

Who signed a draft off, who sent a document, and who changed the next step is recorded on the case. Not to police your team, but because a law firm periodically has to answer exactly that question.
